JAECOO has announced that it will reveal the official ex-factory price of its all-electric J5 EV in Pakistan on November 6. The electric SUV is being locally assembled at NexGen Auto’s manufacturing facility in Faisalabad and is expected to enter Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market.
The J5 EV was unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) at Expo Centre Lahore in September. Its first locally assembled unit rolled off the production line in October, making it one of the latest additions to Pakistan’s locally assembled electric vehicle segment.
The electric SUV offers several features, including a panoramic roof, ventilated seats, rear air vents, mobile charging ports, and a 540-degree camera system. It also supports fast DC charging, home charging, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology with a 3.3kW output, allowing users to power external electrical appliances.
According to the company, the J5 EV comes with a claimed driving range suitable for daily commuting and some intercity journeys, along with an eight-year battery warranty. However, its official price, booking details, and delivery schedule are expected to be shared following the November 6 announcement.
The vehicle is being assembled alongside other OMODA and JAECOO models, including the J5 HEV and J7 PHEV. The company says its local manufacturing and dealership network will support vehicle availability, spare parts, and after-sales services in Pakistan.
