Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 series will launch in China on July 14. The company had already revealed that the new smartphones would arrive this month. It has now shared the official launch date along with the design and some key features of the devices.
Official teaser images show that the standard Redmi Note 17 will feature a single rear camera. The camera sits inside a square-shaped camera module on the back.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro comes with a different setup. It appears to feature two rear cameras placed inside a similar camera island. Redmi also showcased the phone in a new “Clear Blue” color option.

The company has confirmed some premium features for the Pro model. The Redmi Note 17 Pro will include Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It will also carry an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.
Meanwhile, a recent leak has revealed several key specifications of both smartphones. According to the leak, the Redmi Note 17 will feature a 6.83-inch display and run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The device is also expected to pack a large 9,000mAh battery and a 50MP primary rear camera.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to share most of these specifications. However, the Pro model may include a more powerful 200MP primary rear camera.
Redmi has not yet announced the prices of the two smartphones. Details about availability and final specifications will become official during the launch event next week.
