Apple’s next-generation iPhone Air may arrive with a larger battery and upgraded camera system. A new leak has revealed fresh details about the rumored iPhone Air 2. The company is expected to introduce the iPhone Air 2 in early 2027. The device could launch alongside the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e.
According to the leak, the iPhone Air 2 may include a battery with a capacity of 3,500mAh or more. The figure may seem modest compared to many Android phones. However, it would still mark an improvement over the original iPhone Air.
The first iPhone Air reportedly packs a 3,149mAh battery. The larger battery could help Apple improve the phone’s overall battery life.
The display may also receive notable upgrades. Reports suggest the iPhone Air 2 will feature a 6.55-inch LTPO AMOLED screen. The panel is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.
Apple could power the smartphone with its upcoming A20 Pro chipset. The chip is expected to use the company’s new 2nm process, which may deliver better performance and efficiency.
On the camera side, the iPhone Air 2 is rumored to feature a dual rear camera setup. The system may include a 48MP primary sensor and an ultrawide camera.
Apple has not confirmed any details about the iPhone Air 2 yet. Since the launch is still far away, the final specifications could change before the device reaches the market.
