The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) will suspend electricity supply on Friday in several parts of its service region to carry out routine maintenance and development work.
An IESCO spokesperson said the outages will affect various feeders and transmission lines across the Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and GSO circles.
- In the Attock Circle: Power will remain suspended from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Munirabad, Garhi Afghan, Lala Rukh, Industrial, and adjoining feeders.
- In the Chakwal Circle: Electricity will be cut from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur, Sagharpur, CWO, and nearby feeders.
- In the Jhelum Circle: The Karoli Feeder will remain without power from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- In the GSO Circle: Several 132kV transmission lines will also be affected. The AWC HMC Taxila and Sangjani Burhan lines will remain shut from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the Chakwal–Bhagwal–Talagang, Kahuta City–Palandri, and New Wah–Bahtermore lines, along with connected equipment and surrounding areas, will remain closed from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
IESCO expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience and stated that power will be restored ahead of schedule if the maintenance work is completed early.
