The Sindh Assembly’s Special Committee on Recruitment has approved the hiring of more than 8,000 Junior Science Teachers (JSTs) across the province to address vacant teaching positions in government schools.
The decision was taken during a committee meeting, where officials agreed that candidates who secured at least 55 marks in the IBA Sukkur recruitment test would be eligible for appointment.
The committee also approved retaining the minimum passing score of 55 marks for the recruitment of Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs).
Officials further decided that offer letters for successful ECT candidates would be issued within the next 15 days. The relevant authorities were also directed to conduct recruitment tests for additional teaching vacancies as soon as possible.
The recruitment initiative aims to strengthen Sindh’s public school system by filling vacant teaching positions through a merit-based selection process.
The government expects the appointments to improve the quality of education and ensure better learning opportunities for students across the province.
