Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has inaugurated four major community development projects in Tehsil Jand, District Attock, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at improving healthcare, education, clean drinking water facilities, and local infrastructure.
The newly completed initiatives include the installation of two dialysis machines and one ultrasound machine at THQ Hospital Jand, the construction of a 2-kilometre road in Dhoke Loharan, the development of a new academic and lavatory block at Government Girls School Jand, and the installation of two reverse osmosis (RO) water filtration plants in Mohalla Hussainabad and Langar.
The projects were formally inaugurated by the area’s Member of the National Assembly (MNA) in the presence of OGDC officials, local administration representatives, and community members.
OGDCL said the healthcare facilities will improve access to essential dialysis treatment and diagnostic services for residents of Jand and nearby areas, reducing the need for patients to travel to major cities for medical care.
The new school facilities are expected to provide female students with a better learning environment, while the road development project will improve connectivity and make transportation easier for local residents.
The RO filtration plants will provide clean and safe drinking water to hundreds of households, helping reduce the risk of waterborne diseases and improving public health conditions.
OGDCL, one of Pakistan’s leading exploration and production companies, carries out various CSR initiatives in areas surrounding its operations, with a focus on healthcare, education, water supply, infrastructure development, and community welfare.
The company stated that these projects reflect its commitment to supporting underserved communities and promoting sustainable socio-economic development across the country.
