The Punjab Traffic Police has announced a province-wide awareness campaign to educate students about juvenile driving permits, road safety, and traffic laws in schools and colleges.
The initiative has been launched on the directives of DIG Traffic Punjab, with SSP Traffic Syed Nadeem Abbasissuing a circular to all Chief Traffic Officers (CTOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) across the province.
According to the circular, the campaign will begin after educational institutions reopen in August 2026. Traffic police officials will conduct awareness sessions to educate students about the eligibility criteria, application process, and legal requirements for obtaining juvenile driving permits.
The sessions will also focus on promoting safe driving practices, responsible road behavior, and compliance with traffic laws among young motorists.
Officials said eligible students will be encouraged to obtain juvenile driving permits through the prescribed legal procedure instead of driving without authorization.
The Punjab Traffic Police has directed authorities in all districts to ensure the effective implementation of the campaign, aiming to improve road safety and encourage responsible driving habits among students from an early age.
