Punjab government employees and pensioners will receive their July salaries, allowances and pensions on July 31, ahead of the standard payment schedule, following approval from the provincial governor.
The Finance Department confirmed that the early disbursement was approved because August 1 and 2 fall on a Saturday and Sunday, prompting authorities to move the payment date forward to avoid delays.
Instructions have been issued to the Accountant General Punjab, treasury offices and all district accounts officers to complete the necessary arrangements ahead of the payment date.
Relevant banks have also been directed to ensure salaries and pensions are disbursed to employees and pensioners on July 31.
