Samsung could soon expand its Android 17-based One UI 9 beta program to the Galaxy S25 series. The company is already testing One UI 9 internally for several Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S25 lineup. However, Samsung has only released the public beta for the Galaxy S26 series so far.
Now, signs of a Galaxy S25 beta release have started to appear. Samsung’s server has listed the first One UI 9 beta build for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The firmware versions spotted on the server are S938NKSUBZZG8/S938NOKRBZZG8/S938NKSUBDZG8. However, the build is specifically meant for the Korean model of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
As a result, Samsung will likely release the One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea first. The beta could then reach other markets at a later date.
Meanwhile, Samsung has yet to confirm when the stable One UI 9 update will arrive for the Galaxy S26 series. For now, the recently unveiled Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 are the only smartphones running the stable version of One UI 9.
The arrival of the Galaxy S25 Ultra beta build suggests that Samsung may soon open its One UI 9 beta program to more devices. However, the company has not officially announced a release date yet.
