The Punjab government has announced a local holiday for tomorrow, alongside a partial suspension of Metro Bus service in Rawalpindi due to security arrangements for a religious procession.
According to details, district offices and offices under the Deputy Commissioner will remain closed tomorrow.
The holiday will not apply to the Punjab Civil Secretariat, autonomous bodies, or regional offices. The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) has issued a notification confirming the holiday, which has been declared on the occasion of the Urs of Data Sahib.
Separately, the Rawalpindi district administration has decided to partially suspend Metro Bus service tomorrow in view of the main Chehlum procession of Imam Hussain (AS).
According to Metro Bus officials, service will remain suspended between Saddar Station and Faizabad, while the route from IJP Road to the Pak Secretariat will continue to operate as normal.
Authorities have advised citizens to plan alternate transport arrangements and account for traffic disruptions before undertaking travel tomorrow.
