Honor has officially set August 12 as the launch date for its highly anticipated robot phone. While the company already confirmed its camera details in late July, a new leak has now revealed almost everything else about the upcoming flagship. At the same time, Honor has also shared new teaser images, giving a closer look at the device before its official debut.
According to the source on Weibo, the Honor Robot Phone will feature a 6.3-inch flat LTPO OLED display with a 1216 x 2640 resolution. The screen is also said to deliver an impressive 6,800 nits of peak brightness. In addition, Honor will include an anti-reflective coating to improve visibility under bright light.
The phone is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It will reportedly pack a large 7,060 mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging. This combination could offer both long battery life and very fast charging.
Honor is also adding three of its own chips to the device. These include the C1, E2, and H1 chips. The C1 handles radio frequency enhancement, the E2 manages power efficiency, and the H1 focuses on image processing.
The camera system also looks impressive. The rear setup is expected to include a 200MP f/1.6 main camera with gimbal stabilization. It uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor. Alongside it, Honor will offer a 200MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto camera with 2.7x optical zoom. This camera will use a larger 1/1.4-inch sensor for improved image quality.
The Honor Robot Phone will reportedly arrive in two memory options. Buyers will be able to choose between 12GB RAM with 512GB storage or 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. Honor is expected to reveal the complete details, pricing, and availability of the Robot Phone during its official launch event on August 12.
