Users all across Pakistan are facing severe financial disruptions, as Allied Bank Limited (ABL) experiences a complete backend infrastructure failure. Consequently, a major data center or backend server collapse has taken automated banking entirely offline. Therefore, users are currently unable to access their funds or perform essential daily transactions. The Allied Bank myABL mobile app is also down.
Currently, the crash is severely impacting multiple ABL channels. Specifically, the Allied Bank myABL android app, including its iOS version, and the myABL Internet Banking website are completely unresponsive. Furthermore, the myABL WhatsApp Banking bot and standard local ATMs remain offline. Mobile device users are uniformly receiving a “Network Request Failed” error when they attempt to log in.
Additionally, the primary customer care helpline (111-225-225) is completely unresponsive. The system is either dropping calls or failing to connect entirely due to the immense traffic volumes from stranded users.
The outage severely restricts all financial operations. First, interbank (IBFT) and internal fund transfers are completely blocked. Users all across Pakistan are facing issues sending money from external platforms, such as Easypaisa, to their ABL accounts. Second, the system cannot process verification SMS and One-Time Passwords (OTPs) required for transaction approvals. Finally, retail payments are failing universally. Users report that physical debit card POS terminal transactions are declining at multiple locations. Moreover, online e-commerce checkouts are also failing to process.
The bank recently delivered an official push notification titled “Temporary Service Disruption”. The alert states:
Dear Customer, we are facing service degradation. Our teams are actively working to resolve the issue. Inconvenience caused is regretted.
Meanwhile, users must avoid repeated login attempts. Continuous retries may temporarily lock your account due to security protocols once the system restarts. If you have urgent cash requirements, you must visit an active Allied Bank branch counter. However, you must bring physical identification documents, as digital and self-service ATM networks remain entirely down.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned to TechJuice for all further updates.
