Lenovo is set to fully unveil its next gaming tablet on August 25. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed an impressive AnTuTu score of 4,585,844. The tablet’s name remains unclear due to inaccurate machine translations from Chinese. It could be called the Y700 Infinite, Y700 Ultimate, or Y700 Unlimited.
The new model appears to build on the Lenovo Y700, which launched in March. However, it is expected to add 5G mobile data connectivity to the gaming-focused tablet. A recent rumor also claims Lenovo may reduce the battery capacity. The new model could feature a 7,500 mAh battery instead of the Y700’s 9,000 mAh unit.
The tablet is also expected to support 68W fast wired charging. However, the smaller battery could disappoint gamers who want longer play sessions between charges. Previous leaks have pointed to an 8.4-inch OLED display with a “2.5K” resolution. The screen could also feature slim 2.89mm bezels.
The tablet is rumored to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This could explain its strong AnTuTu performance ahead of the official launch. The new Y700 is also expected to measure just 6.5mm in thickness. Despite its gaming hardware, it could weigh only 298g.
Lenovo is expected to reveal the tablet’s final name and specifications on August 25. More details should become clear when the company officially introduces the device.
