Vivo appears to be preparing a new V80 Lite 5G smartphone. Earlier reports linked the phone to the Vivo S2 through a Google Play Console listing. Now, an image shared on Instagram offers an early look at the phone’s front design.
The picture shows a curved display with a centered hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. However, the image appears heavily edited, so some design details remain unclear. The phone could also use the slogan “slay every edge,” based on the shared image. If the V80 Lite 5G is a rebranded vivo S2, its specifications could be familiar.
The phone is expected to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. The panel could offer a 1260×2800 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,000-nit peak brightness. The V80 Lite 5G may use the Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset. It could also come with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB storage options.
For photography, the phone is expected to include a 50MP main camera. A 32MP selfie camera could handle photos and video calls from the front. Powering the device could be a large 7,050 mAh battery. The battery is also expected to support 44W wired charging.
Vivo has not officially confirmed these specifications or the phone’s launch details. For now, the latest image provides an early look at what could be the V80 Lite 5G.
