Sony appears to be working on the next model in its Xperia 10 lineup. The Xperia 10 VIII, also known as the MK8, has now surfaced on Geekbench. The phone appeared under the model number Sony XQ-GH54. The listing shows a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM.
The Xperia 10 VIII scored 871 points in Geekbench’s single-core test. It reached 3,028 points in the multi-core test. Those results offer an early look at the phone’s expected performance. They also show little change in chipset choice from the previous generation.
Sony used the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip in the Xperia 10 VII. Qualcomm announced the chipset in 2024, making it an older platform for the upcoming phone. The Xperia 10 VII launched almost a year ago. Its successor’s Geekbench appearance suggests Sony is moving closer to its official launch.
So far, details about the Xperia 10 VIII remain limited. The only earlier information came from an IMEI database listing, which confirmed the phone’s model number.
Sony has yet to reveal the Xperia 10 VIII or confirm its launch date. More specifications could emerge as the phone moves closer to release.
