The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has raided an alleged foreign-operated call centre in Islamabad’s G-8 sector following credible intelligence, approval from the competent authority and a search warrant.
According to the agency, the operation was carried out as part of an ongoing crackdown on fraudulent call centres and digital scam networks allegedly targeting victims through deceptive schemes.
NCCIA officials said foreigners and Pakistani nationals allegedly linked to organised cybercrime were not present at the premises when the raid was conducted.
However, investigators seized digital devices and other relevant material from the site for forensic examination.
The seized material will be analysed to determine the nature of the activities being carried out at the premises and identify any individuals or networks potentially connected to cybercrime.
The raid is part of NCCIA’s broader efforts to dismantle fraudulent call centres and digital scam networks operating in Pakistan.
The agency said further details will be shared after the investigation and verification process is completed.
Authorities are expected to determine the ownership, operational structure and potential international links of the alleged call centre as the forensic examination progresses.
