Range Rover has launched its first fully electric vehicle, marking the official entry of the brand into the electric era with a model combining luxury design and zero‑emission performance.
According to media reports, the new SUV carries a starting price of £154,070 and represents a significant milestone for Jaguar Land Rover, which has faced declining profits earlier this year.
Production is based in Solihull, England with 10,500 staff receiving additional training to support the project. The vehicle has undergone testing equivalent to 38 global circumnavigations.
The electric powertrain is designed to reduce environmental impact compared with petrol and diesel models. Safety concerns linked to large SUVs remain under observation in wider industry studies.
Range Rover offers a bespoke commissioning service, allowing buyers extensive customization with tailored finishes, premium materials, and signature detailing across a broad palette of colors and textures.
Managing Director Martin Limpert described the launch as the culmination of a decade of engineering and technological development, positioning the vehicle as a flagship in the company’s transition to electrification.
