The vivo X500 series is expected to launch in China this month, featuring the standard X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. While Vivo has already revealed several details about the Pro models, the company has now confirmed key camera specifications for the base Vivo X500.
According to vivo, the X500 will use the same primary camera sensor found in the current vivo X300 Pro. The smartphone will feature a 50MP 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 sensor. It will also include Zeiss gimbal-level stabilization with a CIPA 5.5 professional stabilization rating.
The Vivo X500 will also bring strong telephoto capabilities. It will use the same 64MP Sony LYT-610 telephoto sensor featured in the X500 Pro. The camera will carry a CIPA 5.5 stabilization rating and support 4K 120 fps slow-motion video recording.
Additionally, Vivo has confirmed support for a 200mm teleconverter on the X500. This could give users greater flexibility for long-distance photography. The feature may also help Vivo position the standard model as a capable camera-focused smartphone.
Rumors suggest the Vivo X500 could include a 50MP ultrawide camera and a compact 6.37-inch display. The phone is also expected to feature a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series chipset. Vivo should reveal more details as the China launch approaches.
