Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has rolled out a digital platform for municipal services, enabling residents to apply for permits and licenses through the Pak App instead of visiting civic offices in person.
The move is part of a wider push to modernise local government service delivery in the federal capital.
Under the new system, citizens can submit applications online, upload supporting documents electronically, and track the status of their requests through the app rather than following up at government counters.
The platform also introduces digital payment options for municipal services, removing the need for in-person transactions. Officials said the initiative is aimed at cutting down processing times and reducing the administrative burden on both citizens and municipal staff.
Among the services now available digitally are advertisement permits, open space permits, parking permits, and generator licenses. The corporation said additional municipal services would be integrated into the app over time, as part of efforts to streamline civic administration in Islamabad.
