Honor has revealed the design of its upcoming Magic9 series, but the company has yet to share official specifications. A new leak now claims the lineup will include three models.
According to a tipster on Weibo, the series will consist of the Magic9, Magic9 Pro Max, and Magic9 Super Edition. All three phones are also expected to use the same rear camera design shown in Honor’s recent renders.
The Magic9 Super Edition is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It could also use a 200MP main camera with 12MP and 50MP sensors. However, the camera system reportedly will not carry ARRI branding. The phone’s biggest feature could be its 11,000mAh battery, which would give it a major capacity advantage.
The Super Edition is also expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It could include a built-in cooling fan and a fiberglass body. A single front-facing camera is also said to be included. These features suggest Honor is targeting users who want high performance and long battery life.
The standard Honor Magic9 is expected to be smaller, with a 6.37-inch display and an 8,000mAh battery. It could also feature two 200MP rear cameras co-developed with ARRI. The Magic9 is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It is also expected to feature a single 3D front-facing camera for biometric and depth-related features.
Meanwhile, the Magic9 Pro Max is tipped to offer a 6.8-inch display and a metal body. It could also feature two 200MP rear cameras. The flagship model is said to include a 1:1 front-facing camera sensor and a 3D ToF camera. It could also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset.
Powering the Magic9 Pro Max could be an 8,800mAh battery. If accurate, all three models will offer unusually large battery capacities for flagship smartphones. Honor is expected to launch the Magic9 series on September 28. The phones are already available for pre-order through Honor’s official online store in China.
Honor has not confirmed these specifications yet. The leaked details should therefore be treated as unofficial until the company makes an announcement.
