Huawei’s Mate 90 series is expected to launch in October. A new leak has now revealed several details about the Mate 90 Pro Max. According to the source on Weibo, the flagship could use Huawei’s Kirin 9050 Pro chipset. The same chip powers the recently launched Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design tri-folding phone.
The Mate 90 Pro Max is also rumored to feature a next-generation dual-layer OLED display. An optional privacy screen could also be offered with the phone. Camera upgrades are expected to be another major focus. The flagship could feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and an improved ultrawide camera.
The phone is also tipped to use a new-generation Red Maple imaging system. Huawei has used the Red Maple system to improve image processing and camera performance.
The source previously shared more details about the phone’s camera setup. The Mate 90 Pro Max could feature two telephoto cameras, similar to the Mate 80 Pro Max. However, the newer model is expected to support up to 10x optical zoom. The phone could also use a near 1-inch primary camera sensor on the rear.
These details have not been confirmed by Huawei. More information is expected to surface ahead of the Mate 90 series launch in October.
