On September 19, an X user questioned whether the $300 million game utilized AI assets. The user pointed to a heavily distorted restroom sign inside the game. Consequently, James Stevenson, Insomniac’s Director of Community and Marketing, quickly shut down the rumors. He clearly stated that the studio did not use any AI-generated assets in Marvel’s Wolverine.
Instead, Stevenson explained the exact cause of the distortion. He identified the issue as a simple “UV map bug”. This specific glitch causes the silhouette on the sign to break apart and duplicate. Furthermore, he promised that a new update will arrive soon to fix this visual error.
