The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced an approved power shutdown in parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Tuesday, September 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
According to IESCO, the shutdown will facilitate the shifting of 11kV lines for the widening of the main service road from Faizabad to Gulberg Green and from Khawaja Corporation Chowk.
In the Islamabad Operation Circle, the affected feeders include Punjab House, Bari Imam, Pir Sohawa, Saidpur, Service Road, Sohan, Highway, Zia Masjid and Iqbal Town.
In the Rawalpindi City Operation Circle, the Fazaia feeder will remain affected during the shutdown.
Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi Cantt Operation Circle will see interruptions on Kalyal, Shahpur, Adyala, Khasala, Hamyou-I, Dk Noor, Gulshan Abad, Rose Lane, Adyala Jail, Shaigon, Defence Road, Askari-14, PGHS and Samar Zar feeders.
IESCO has apologized to consumers for the inconvenience and requested their cooperation and understanding during the scheduled maintenance and infrastructure work.
