Vivo has launched its latest V-series smartphone, the vivo V80, in India. The phone combines a large 7,200mAh battery with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. It also brings a Zeiss-backed triple-camera system and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The V80 runs Android 17-based OriginOS 7 out of the box.
The phone features a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a Full-HD+ resolution. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and reaches 5,000 nits of peak brightness. For photography, the vivo V80 uses a Zeiss triple-rear camera setup. Its main camera has a 50MP Sony LYT 700V sensor with OIS and autofocus.
The main camera also supports 4K cinematic video and 4K 60fps recording. Meanwhile, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto camera handles zoom shots. The telephoto camera includes OIS and supports 3x optical zoom. An 8MP ultrawide camera completes the rear setup.
On the front, the V80 has a 50MP wide camera with autofocus. This gives users autofocus support for selfies and video calls. Power comes from a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging. The large battery should also give the phone strong endurance for daily use.
The Vivo V80 includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric security. It also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and NFC. The phone also supports eSIM connectivity.
Vivo is offering the V80 in three colors in India. These include Horizon Blue, Stellar Black, and Sunrise Anthem. The phone has an aluminum frame with a glass back. It measures 7.79mm in thickness and weighs 210g.
The Vivo V80 starts at INR 62,999 for the 8GB/128GB model. The 8GB/256GB version costs INR 69,999. The top 8GB/512GB variant is priced at INR 79,999. This puts the V80 firmly in the premium segment of Vivo’s V-series lineup.
