Apple has announced HomeView, a new smart home hub powered by its updated Siri assistant. The device comes in desktop and wall-mounted designs, with both options priced at $299. It will go on sale November 13, bringing Apple Intelligence features and personalized controls to the home.
The desktop model features a floating display attached to a rounded aluminum base. Its screen can be tilted to adjust the viewing angle. Apple will offer it in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray, with matching cables.
Meanwhile, the wall-mounted version includes only the display module. Users can choose from different mounts sold separately by Schneider Home. This model will be available in silver and space gray.
Both versions feature a 7-inch LCD with a resolution of 1088 x 1088 pixels and a pixel density of 220ppi. The display reaches 500 nits of peak brightness and can dim to 0.3 nits. It also supports True Tone and has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.

For audio, both models include two full-range drivers. The desktop version adds a downfiring woofer and dual force-cancelling passive radiators inside its base. It also supports Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. Computational audio adjusts sound settings in real time based on the surrounding environment.
HomeView also includes four far-field microphones for voice commands. Additionally, it can recognize smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds. This allows the device to detect important alerts around the home.
For video calls, Apple has equipped HomeView with a 12MP ultra-wide camera featuring an f/2.4 aperture. Its Center Stage feature automatically crops the frame and follows people as they move. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ax with MIMO, Bluetooth 6.0, and Thread networking.

The device runs on Apple’s A18 chip and uses custom software built around the new Siri. With Apple Intelligence, users can make requests and interact with the assistant. They can also start a conversation on HomeView and continue it on a compatible iPhone or iPad, or move it in the opposite direction.
HomeView can recognize up to six people in a household. Each person receives personalized options and information from their own Apple devices. For privacy, features such as replying to iMessages and emails are limited to recognized users.
However, shared content remains accessible to everyone. This includes shared iCloud photo libraries and music. Users can also customize their home screens with individual widgets.

Apple has priced both HomeView models at $299, while wall mounts are sold separately. Preorders open today in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK, and the US. Customers in Singapore can preorder the device starting October 15.
The smart home hub will be available for purchase on Friday, November 13. However, Apple will not launch HomeView in the European Union due to regulations surrounding Siri AI.
