Pokemon Pokopia stands out as the surprise breakout hit of 2026 on the Nintendo Switch 2. Currently, it ranks as one of the highest-rated Pokemon games ever created. The spin-off masterfully combines Animal Crossing-style town building with Minecraft-inspired crafting and classic creature collecting. Now, a major datamine has revealed 24 new critters planned for the next Pokemon Pokopia DLC.
Expanded Town Building Experience & Complete Datamined Roster
Nintendo originally announced the Pokopia DLC roadmap during the June 2026 Direct. Subsequently, the first expansion, Bubbly Basin, launched in August. This initial expansion featured a major questline starring the Legendary Pokemon Manaphy. Currently, the developer plans to release two more expansions later in 2026 and 2027. However, Nintendo has not shared any firm release dates beyond these broad launch windows.
Recently, a Twitter leak aggregator unearthed a massive datamine. This leak confirmed four critters already announced for the second DLC. These include Doduo, Snubbull, Skitty, and Braxien. However, the datamine goes much further. It includes fan-favorite starters like Turtwig and Fennekin. Additionally, classic Generation 1 Pokemon will join the roster.
