Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has distributed laptops and Honhaar scholarship cheques among students from Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat at a ceremony held at the University of Rasul. Under the CM Laptop Scheme, a total of 5,531 students from the two districts received laptops.
The recipients included 2,406 students from the University of Gujrat, 521 from the University of Rasul, 173 from the University of Chenab, and students from other universities, colleges, and nursing institutions. The distribution also covered 2,021 students from 21 colleges and 204 female students from four nursing colleges.
Under the Honhaar Scholarship Program, students from universities and colleges in both districts also received financial assistance. Punjab plans to award 50,000 scholarships across 70 academic disciplines this year and has allocated 5,069 scholarships for students from other provinces.
