Saudi Arabia has introduced same-day visa processing for Pakistani citizens at its embassy in Islamabad, making the application process faster for travellers. The development was announced following a meeting between Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Saudi Arabia’s newly appointed ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqami.
During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding cooperation in oil storage, refinery upgrades, energy supplies, mining, and minerals. The minister also invited Saudi Arabia’s Vice Minister of Mining, Khalid al-Mudafier, to attend the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum scheduled for November 12 and 13 in Islamabad.
The Saudi ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s longstanding support and highlighted the strong relationship between the two countries. He said their defence and energy cooperation frameworks would help promote regional peace, stability, and economic development.
Meanwhile, Malik reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its historic relationship with Saudi Arabia and expanding bilateral cooperation across strategic sectors.
