Following the historic $6.3 billion crypto hack, Binance is finally reopening its doors. Binance has just officially announced the phased resumption of user withdrawals. Specifically, phase one of this rollout occurs between 11:00 AM and 02:00 PM PKT. Furthermore, the company has now successfully covered 95% of the stolen assets, an increase from the previously reported 90%. Consequently, users can breathe a sigh of relief as Binance continues to absorb the entire financial blow.
Binance Activates Phase One of Withdrawals
Currently, the exchange is prioritizing specific tokens for this initial phase. They based this selection carefully on user demand data from the past week. Therefore, the security team can restore access progressively while ensuring platform stability.

Binance warns that users might experience temporary delays. High traffic volumes could significantly slow down processing times right now. If a transaction fails, the company advises users to simply try again after a short wait. Interestingly, deposit services remained completely unaffected throughout this incident and are fully open for users.
Securing the Remaining 5%
Binance continues to purchase the remaining affected assets actively through market and over-the-counter (OTC) channels. As a result, the exchange has replaced approximately 95% of the impacted funds. The outstanding 5% consists entirely of less liquid tokens. These tokens sit outside the top ten assets and simply take more time to source at the required scale.
However, the top ten assets remain completely safe. Binance confirmed that balances for BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC are 100% backed. Users can personally verify these reserves on the company’s Proof of Reserves (PoR) website. Ultimately, Binance reiterated its core promise to users. The company will bear the entire financial impact of this security incident, ensuring no losses pass on to the community.
Behind the Suspension & Next Steps
Binance did not pause withdrawals lightly. Instead, the team temporarily suspended these services as a strict precaution. They needed adequate time to contain the incident, assess the overall impact, and complete critical security checks. During this downtime, Binance heavily reviewed its affected services and verified its withdrawal infrastructure. Additionally, the company worked closely with law enforcement and industry partners to trace the stolen funds.
Moving forward, Binance plans to add more networks and assets to the withdrawal list once readiness checks clear. The team will also release a detailed post-incident report as soon as they complete the full investigation.
Latest Binance Withdrawals Update
Binance has already successfully restored withdrawals for several major assets following rigorous security checks. Specifically, users can now seamlessly withdraw USDC, USDT, and ETH on the Ethereum Network. Additionally, withdrawals for USDC, USDT, and BNB are fully active on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Moving forward, the exchange will continue restoring additional assets and networks in phases. Binance will share all further updates regarding network availability directly through its official channels.
