A fresh Pokemon Winds and Waves leak just came out. It reveals three new Pokemon for the upcoming games. Fans first saw Pokemon Winds and Waves on Pokemon Day earlier this year. Specifically, an impressive trailer showcased the games’ upgraded visuals. Furthermore, the video confirmed a slew of returning Pokemon. Meanwhile, the real excitement surrounds the brand-new creatures.
Officially Revealed Starters
Currently, Nintendo has officially revealed only three new Pokemon. Therefore, the Pokemon Winds and Waves starters continue the classic Grass, Fire, and Water typings. Consequently, fans will choose between Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua. However, their evolved forms remain a complete mystery. Ultimately, more information will likely surface next year.
| Starter Pokemon | Element Type | Reveal Status |
|---|---|---|
| Browt | Grass | Official |
| Pombon | Fire | Official |
| Gecqua | Water | Official |
Leaked Forms & Evolutions
Officially, players only know about the three starters. Nevertheless, a brand-new trio of Pokemon has recently leaked. According to a Twitter leaker, Pokemon Winds and Waves will feature a new evolution for “Charcadet”. Additionally, “Oricorio” will receive two brand-new forms.
Charcadet first debuted in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as a Fire-type creature. Usually, most Pokemon follow a linear evolution line. Charcadet, however, uniquely evolves into either Armarouge or Ceruledge based on specific armor exposure. Meanwhile, Oricorio is a Generation 7 Pokemon. It dramatically changes its appearance and type when exposed to certain nectar. Currently, Oricorio possesses Fire, Electric, Psychic, and Ghost forms. As a result, fans expect the two new forms to utilize unused types like Grass, Water, or Rock.
Pokemon Winds and Waves Release Window & Next Steps
Of course, fans must take these exciting claims with a grain of salt. Neither Nintendo nor The Pokemon Company has confirmed the new Charcadet evolution or the Oricorio forms. Therefore, players should keep their expectations in check.
Undoubtedly, more clarity will arrive on Pokemon Day 2027. This major event is scheduled for February 27, 2027. Reputable leakers claim that this exact date will deliver the next big information drop.
Pokemon Winds and Waves carry a vague 2027 release window. Many experts expect these titles to launch as big holiday games for the unconfirmed Switch 2. Hopefully, fresh Pokemon reveals will accompany the official release date announcements next year.
