Two major roads, Rawal Road and Band Khanna Road, have been reopened following reconstruction work in Rawalpindi to improve urban infrastructure and traffic flow. Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry inaugurated the reconstructed roads on Friday.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chaudhry said the construction of the Gangal to Expressway Link Road would also be completed soon. The project is expected to improve connectivity and ease traffic movement across the district.
He said the federal government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the Punjab government, headed by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, were pursuing development projects in healthcare, education, and municipal infrastructure across Rawalpindi.
Chaudhry also highlighted the importance of national unity and security, acknowledging the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in protecting the country’s sovereignty. He added that he would continue raising public welfare, relief, and infrastructure development issues at legislative forums.
