Careem partners with Tech Kero to boost women’s career in technology sector

To commemorate the importance of International Women’s Day Careem, the leading technology company has collaborated with Tech Karo to enable women to develop their careers in the field of technology by solving for their needs of mobility and offering them mentoring and apprenticeship through a program for all their female high achievers. This collaboration is a step towards building an ecosystem to enable more women to join the tech industry.

The partnership aims to work towards breaking the stereotypes about women working in the field of technology and providing them with opportunities to achieve great success. The women being part of this group will be learning leadership and development skills along with technical skills such as program coding by technological experts.

Stating about the relevance of this partnership, Asad Haider Khan, General Manager Careem said:

“This Women’s day, Careem is honored to share its continuing collaboration with Tech Karo which is an initiative to prevent the marginalization of women in the tech community by supporting them in developing careers in the tech industry. By enabling safe and reliable transport, Careem is proud to be a part of the journey with women across the region today as they move forward to achieve their dreams.”

Commenting on breaking stereotypes and making women part of the tech, Sadaf Aslam CIRCLE Women Association is the organization partnering with Careem for Tech Karo said :

“We are creating a movement here to bring more and more women into technology, by even making non-computer science students learned how to code, Technology is an equalizer. Women in Pakistan face huge mobility barriers and with Careem’s partnership, we have been able to solve this bottleneck.”
