Daft Punk Announces Fortnite Music In-Game Experience, Says Band Won’t Reunite

Fortnite is preparing to launch a full-scale, interactive Daft Punk experience on September 27, 2025, offering players a deep dive into the legendary French electronic duo’s musical and visual legacy. Despite the duo’s 2021 split, this collaboration celebrates their timeless impact without signaling a reunion or featuring new music.

Dubbed “the biggest musical experience” in the game’s history by Epic Games, the event will be an immersive hub rather than a short-lived concert. Players can explore themed rooms and interact with various features, including:

Dream Chamber Studios: Remix and mash up 31 songs from Daft Punk’s extensive catalog.
Robot Rock Arena: Engage in a horde-style mode by blasting robots with soundwave lasers.
“Around the World” (LEGO Studio): Create Daft Punk-themed music videos within the LEGO Fortnite mode.

The Daft Club: A dedicated virtual dancefloor for players to enjoy Daft Punk’s music.
>The experience will also feature visuals and audio from NASA and The Recording Academy, along with luxury furniture from Hervet Manufacturier, founded by the duo’s former creative director.

Players will have the chance to obtain a variety of themed cosmetic items starting September 25. These include character skins styled after the duo’s signature robot personas, as well as outfits, accessories, instruments, and emotes. The in-game shop will also offer a Jam Track for the hit song “Get Lucky”.
This collaboration serves as a testament to Daft Punk’s enduring influence on music and pop culture. It provides long-time fans with a new, interactive way to celebrate their artistry. While it also introducing the Daft Punk music to a younger audience.

Epic Games has made it clear that this event is a tribute and does not signify a reunion for the duo. However, the interactive and lasting nature of the experience ensures that Daft Punk’s musical legacy will find a new and vibrant life inside the metaverse.
