Fortnite 2026 Roadmap Revealed: Here Is All You Need to Know

Epic Games has officially updated the Fortnite Creator roadmap Trello page. They have revealed the entire release schedule for 2026. This massive drop lets players know exactly when to expect content patches and season launches throughout the year.

We are currently in Chapter 7 Season 1, known as “Pacific Break”. While this season brought controversial changes to landing mechanics and Battle Pass progression, the player base remains strong. In fact, numbers spiked in November thanks to the Simpsons crossover. Now, with the new year just starting, we finally have the dates for what comes next.

The Official Fortnite 2026 Update Schedule

Epic Games usually releases updates every two weeks. However, the 2026 calendar confirms specific dates and planned breaks. Here is the full list of target release dates:

  • January: 9, 22
  • February: 5, 19
  • March: 5, 29
  • April: 1, 16, 30
  • May: 14
  • June: 4, 18
  • July: 16, 30
  • August: 14
  • September: 3, 17
  • October: 1, 15, 29
  • November: 12, 28
  • December: 10

Season Launches & Major Events

The community is already analysing these dates to predict major season changes. Based on the schedule, players expect Chapter 7 Season 2 to run between March 5 and April 29. Furthermore, the update scheduled for April 30 aligns perfectly with the annual Star Wars celebration. Fans anticipate a crossover event or themed season in time for May the Fourth. Many gamers are still hopeful that Epic Games will finally add lightsabers as pickaxes this year.

Later in the year, the schedule points toward a recurring pattern. A mini-season will likely occur between October 29 and November 28. Consequently, Chapter 8 is expected to go live on November 28, following the year’s second-to-last update.

Planned Downtime & Holidays

Epic Games has also factored employee breaks into the roadmap. Notable gaps appear in the schedule. Specifically, there are no updates between June 19 and July 15. This indicates the team’s summer break.

Finally, the year concludes with an update on December 10. This patch will undoubtedly introduce Winterfest content, including the lodge, holiday weapons, and freebies. Afterwards, the developers will take their Christmas break. While these dates come from an official source, delays can always happen. However, for now, Fortnite players have a clear picture of the year ahead.
