Fortnite Reveals Star-Studded First Look at Halloween Skins
With Fortnitemares 2025 just days ahead, we are now getting some official hints on top of Fortnite leaks. Gaming gurus are citing this as one of the most ambitious crossovers in the history of the franchise. Since Fortnite is currently in the middle of Chapter 6 Season 4, fans think Fortnitemares will coincide all through Halloween, which falls on October 31.
Leaks and Official Hints: What We Know
Fortnite released a trailer revealing some collab skins, as revealed by Shiina on their YouTube channel:

From the leaks, it is confirmed that fans will also get to experience Doja Cat. The rapper is expected to arrive with two new skins: one from her Icon series and another darker “Mother of Thorns” variant. In a dramatic twist, she isn’t just a cosmetic addition this time but is rumored to play a full narrative villain role during the Halloween event.
Alongside her, horror heavyweights like Ghostface from Scream and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th are also locked in, further raising the fright factor. Childhood nostalgia adds a playful twist as Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine crew join the battle, counterbalancing the darkness of the lineup with a campy, classic vibe.
Other rumored additions include Art the Clown, The Grabber from The Black Phone, Terrifier, and other cult horror figures. Early teasers and banners hint at strikingly faithful renditions of these characters, carefully adapted to Fortnite’s signature style.
Fortnitemares 2025: What Else Is Coming
Beyond the characters themselves, the event’s scale is expanding dramatically. Leaks suggest more than 27 new cosmetic skins will debut during Fortnitemares 2025, blending crossover icons with original Halloween creations.
Players can expect themed emotes, gliders, medallions featuring Ghostface and Jason, and entire cosmetic bundles tailored to each collaboration. A new Reload map with haunting effects is also rumored to make an appearance, transforming familiar POIs into eerie, ghost-filled zones. Themed quests tied to these collaborations could push players to confront Doja Cat’s villain character directly or unravel horror storylines woven into the island narrative.
Things are not just limited to crossovers: there are original skins coming too. Fans will also get to experience the horror of a glowing green Peely dramatically clawing his way out of the grave. If that is not enough, a vampire Marigold prowls the haunted halls, and a skeleton-clad trickster flaunts a pumpkin cat head.
The event will reportedly launch on October 9 and run through early November, dropping content in multiple waves. The first wave will bring K-Pop Demon Hunters content, while the horror-heavy crossovers will follow in a second update.
Leaks suggest the crossover skins will hit Battle Royale at around 3 PM Pakistan Standard Time / 6 AM ET, aligning with global Item Shop resets.
