Galaxy Z Flip8 Could Be Samsung’s Most Powerful Flip Yet With Exynos 2600
Samsung is accelerating its push toward in-house silicon, and its next foldables appear to be part of that plan. Fresh details suggest the company will expand the use of its newly announced Exynos 2600 chipset across more flagship devices in 2026.
Earlier today, Samsung officially revealed the Exynos 2600 chipset. The processor is widely rumored to power the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup in at least one country. Now, a new report says the same chip will also run the Galaxy Z Flip8, which is expected to launch this summer.
That move would follow Samsung’s recent strategy shift. The Galaxy Z Flip7 became the company’s first foldable to feature an Exynos processor, using the Exynos 2500. As a result, the decision to equip its successor with the Exynos 2600 is not surprising. Still, the early confirmation is notable, given that the Flip8 launch remains several months away.
Meanwhile, Samsung appears to be keeping a split approach for its foldable portfolio. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is reportedly set to use Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. If accurate, this would mirror last year’s strategy, where Samsung reserved Qualcomm’s latest chip for its premium Fold series.
