The Government of Pakistan is expected to increase the prices of its official Hajj scheme for the upcoming year, with the short Hajj package projected to cost around Rs. 1.3 million.
According to sources within the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, this reflects an increase of approximately Rs. 100,000 compared to last year.
The short Hajj package will span a duration of 20 to 22 days.
Meanwhile, the traditional 40-day long Hajj package is anticipated to see a price hike of Rs. 50,000, bringing its estimated cost to Rs. 1.2 million. For comparison, last year the short Hajj package was priced at Rs. 1.2 million, while the long Hajj package cost Rs. 1.15 million.
To accommodate pilgrims, the ministry plans to offer a staggered payment option. Applicants will be allowed to deposit the total Hajj dues in two equal installments of approximately Rs. 600,000 each.
