The Higher Education Commission has launched a nationwide talent hunt program aimed at identifying and developing young students with strong potential in science.
The initiative will organize science-based competitions for students across the country, with top performers receiving training opportunities and pathways to represent Pakistan in international science Olympiads.
According to officials, successful participants will receive fully funded training and may qualify for academic opportunities at leading institutions, including:
- Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences
- Institute of Space Technology
Selected students may be able to study free of cost at these institutions without taking an entrance test.
The program also includes major academic incentives, such as:
- Up to 100% fee waivers
- Monthly scholarships
- Cash prizes exceeding Rs. 500,000
Officials say the initiative is designed to promote scientific talent, support merit-based opportunities, and strengthen Pakistan’s future research pipeline.
Interested students can submit applications for the talent hunt program until May 30, 2026.
