Meta has begun integrating the autonomous Manus AI into Meta Ads Manager, giving advertisers direct access to built-in AI assistance for a range of campaign tasks such as reporting, audience research and data analysis. The integration appears as a new option within the Ads Manager “Tools” menu, and is part of Meta’s broader strategy to embed next-generation AI agents into its business products.
“Meta has introduced Manus, a new AI work assistant designed to automate business tasks such as data analysis, report generation, and more,” writes app researcher Ahmed Ghanem on Threads, citing a screenshot of the introduction of Manus in Meta’s Ad platform.
Manus AI, originally developed by Singapore-based Butterfly Effect Pte. Ltd., is an autonomous AI agent to carry out complex, multi-step tasks without continuous human supervision. Unlike traditional chatbots that respond to text prompts, Manus can plan and execute tasks such as preparing campaign performance summaries, generating custom insights, and automating repetitive workflow steps.
Manus is set to play a crucial role in Meta’s strategy for achieving its social commerce objectives in 202. The company plans to market the Manus service and weave it into its next-generation products to boost user engagement and build “superintelligence” infrastructure.
“We’re starting to see the promise of AI that understands our personal context, including our history, our interests, our content and our relationships,” Zuckerberg was noted to point out in Meta’s Q4 investor call. “A lot of what makes agents valuable is the unique context that they can see.”
Meta is betting that artificial intelligence will eventually unlock significant new revenue streams. However, for now, the company’s most immediate gains are emerging in advertising. By integrating Manus AI directly into Ads Manager, Meta is focusing on helping advertisers improve performance, efficiency and decision making. It’s also a direct call for reinforcing advertising as the clearest near-term payoff of its broader AI strategy.
