Honor appears ready to raise the bar in the foldable phone market. Early leaks suggest the upcoming Honor Magic V6 could deliver one of the biggest batteries ever seen in a foldable device.
Last July, Honor launched the Magic V5 with different battery sizes depending on the region. The Chinese model featured a 6,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Meanwhile, global markets received a slightly smaller 5,820 mAh silicon carbon unit. Now, attention has shifted to its successor.
Honor has not confirmed the Magic V6 launch date yet. However, fresh leaks have started to reveal key specifications. According to the source, the Honor Magic V6 may pack a battery with at least 7,000 mAh capacity. If that claim proves accurate, the V6 could become the foldable phone with the highest battery capacity so far.
This is not the first time such numbers have surfaced. Earlier reports claimed Honor was testing two battery variants for the Magic V6. One version reportedly carries a 6,900 mAh battery, while another reaches 7,200 mAh. The company may follow its previous strategy again. The international model could ship with a smaller battery. In contrast, the Chinese variant might feature the larger one. Charging speeds, however, remain unknown at this stage.
Beyond the battery, other hardware details have also leaked. The Honor Magic V6 is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. That chipset would position the device among next-generation flagship smartphones. In addition, reports point to a 200MP primary camera, suggesting a strong focus on imaging performance. More details should surface in the coming months.
