Honor launched the Honor Power 2 in January, featuring a massive 10,080 mAh battery. However, the company is now reportedly preparing its next model. A new rumor from China suggests the Honor Power 3 is already in development.
The upcoming device could push battery limits even further. Reports indicate Honor is testing a battery between 11,000 mAh and 12,000 mAh. The final capacity has not been confirmed yet. If true, it may set a new benchmark for mainstream smartphones.
Moreover, the Honor Power 3 is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8600 chipset. This would be an upgrade over the Dimensity 8500 used in the Power2. As a result, users may see better performance and improved efficiency.
In terms of display, the phone may feature a 6.8-inch flat LTPS OLED screen. It is also said to support 1.5K resolution. The size and design appear similar to its predecessor, keeping a familiar look.
Compared to the Power 2, the battery could increase by 920 mAh to 1,920 mAh. This depends on the final configuration. However, even the lower estimate would be a significant jump for battery-focused users.
Finally, the launch timeline remains unclear. Honor has not shared any official details yet. Therefore, it may take several months before Power3 is officially revealed. For now, more leaks are expected in the coming weeks.
