Honor is set to officially unveil MagicOS 11 next week, ending speculation around the company’s next major software update. The company will introduce the new operating system on September 15 during its Global Developer Conference. MagicOS 11 will be the main focus of the event.
The update is based on Android 17 and was expected to debut in August. However, Honor did not reveal the software as previously expected. MagicOS 11 will bring a redesigned user interface with a strong focus on visual changes. Honor appears to have taken inspiration from Apple’s iOS and its Liquid Glass design language.
The update will also improve charging features, although Honor has not yet explained what those changes will include. It will also add an enhanced storage cleanup tool. AI will be another major part of MagicOS 11. Honor says its new-generation AI assistant can handle long-term tasks involving up to 100 steps.
The company says this capability is designed to reduce the effort required for everyday tasks. More details about the assistant and its supported features should be revealed during the September 15 event. With MagicOS 11, Honor is clearly pushing its software toward a more AI-focused experience. The company is expected to share more details about the update and its rollout during the conference.
