The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 official launch arrives this Friday, October 23. Currently, players are already enjoying early access to the widely praised campaign. The story follows Captain Price seeking vengeance while on the run. Concurrently, players experience a globe-trotting adventure after the North Korean forces invade the Korean Peninsula, throwing the region into chaos. Consequently, excitement is building rapidly. However, you can actually get a massive head start on your Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer journey right now.
Maximize Your Modern Warfare 4 Multiplayer Rank XP Early
Many Call of Duty fans eagerly await the fast-paced multiplayer modes. Fortunately, a clever progression trick exists. Yesterday, on October 20, the revamped DMZ experience officially went live through Early Access. Players who digitally pre-ordered the game can jump into this mode immediately.
Modern Warfare 4 Progression Reminder:
In DMZ, you can level up your Player XP and Weapon XP. DMZ has its own Rank XP, too.

Furthermore, playing DMZ directly benefits your multiplayer profile. The mode allows you to earn Player XP, Weapon XP, and crucial Rank XP. Therefore, any rank you achieve in DMZ today will completely carry over. This head start gets you closer to new multiplayer unlocks and advances you through the new Prestige System before the multiplayer officially opens.
A Fully Revamped DMZ Experience
The original DMZ mode debuted back in 2022 alongside Modern Warfare 2. Ultimately, it failed to retain a large audience as players flocked back to Warzone and standard multiplayer. Now, Infinity Ward is giving the mode another shot with massive improvements.
The developers set this new DMZ experience chronologically after the main Modern Warfare 4 campaign. Additionally, the studio implemented heavily improved enemy AI. Players can choose exactly how they want to tackle the game. You can complete dedicated story missions, engage in dynamic side content, or simply free roam the map.
Unlocking The Forward Operating Base
This new DMZ mode features a fully overhauled progression system. Specifically, players can advance all the way up to level 77. Each new level grants unique and important rewards. You manage all these features from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Station. This central hub location lets you prepare your loadouts before deploying.
Initially, you start with basic unlocked features like a Firing Range and Mission Directives. Next, reaching Rank 2 unlocks a helpful 3D printer. Progressing to Rank 10 gives you full access to the Gunsmith. Finally, hitting Rank 20 unlocks a special Dog Tag Case. This display case lets you proudly show off the dog tags you collect from defeated enemy operatives and players.
