Smartphone prices are at their all-time high. But Huawei Mate 10 is not even a smartphone.

The iPhone X costs $1000 and the Galaxy Note 8 is priced at $930. Now, according to some reports, the Huawei Mate 10 will cost over €900. If it turns out to be true, the Mate 10 will be the most expensive Huawei phone ever just like the Note 8 is the Samsung’s and iPhone X is the Apple’s most expensive phone ever.

€900 is the price for the simple Mate 10. The Mate 10 Pro is expected to launch with a price tag of $940. Both Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro will feature the Huawei’s next generation Kirin 970 chipset.

Huawei claims that their chipset will put Apple and Samsung to shame and the phones featuring it will be the “The Real AI Phones”. Huawei also claims that its next-gen phone will be an intelligent machine. However, the Mate 10 Lite will not have the Kirin 970 chipset so its price is expected to be much lower than the elder siblings. The Mate 10 Lite will feature Kirin 659.

The Mate 10 is also expected to have a Samsung Dex like feature which will let you use your phone on a big screen as a PC. And it will have a dual-lens camera with f/1.6 aperture on both lenses which can make it one of the best cameras on the market.

The price point of upcoming Huawei Mate 10 indicates that it might be a great machine and a powerhouse of new features but it will not come into the budget of every smartphone buyer. So we will have to wait and see how many people prefer Huawei’s Mate 10 over the recently launched Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X.
