Instagram question stickers can now be used to share music

Just yesterday I reported about Messenger receiving the Boomerang feature for its stories. Instagram is now rolling out several updates to its own stories feature that will allow users to add more personalization. One update allows you to add music to your question stories whereas you can now also add the question stickers when you go live on Instagram. This new update is aptly described as a mashup of all Instagram stories features into each other.

Users will be able to play the music by clicking on the response of a question. Whilst you are sharing a song, your camera opens up for a photo or video whereas the music will be played in the background. There are also new camera effects to compliment the music feature. You can also add the questions feature to your Live video on Instagram in order to ensure important questions don’t get lost in the overflowing chat stream. Streamers can also share photos and videos from their gallery to the live video session now as well.

Countdown stickers have also been introduced on Instagram that let users countdown to upcoming moments that are important and your followers should know about them. Whether you are counting to the start of your friend’s birthday or the end of your workday, it’s up to you. Friends can also tap the countdown to follow and be notified when it ends.

The update is rolling out to both iOS and Android today.
