iOS7 Update – Are you Ready to meet iOS7?

With only hours to go till the iOS7 Update rolls out, iPhone users all over the world are excited about trying the brand new interface Apple has been talking about since June. This is first time Apple will make visual changes since the introduction of iPhone back in 2007.

The new iOS7 will come with completely redesigned icons that are flatter and support thinner fonts than the original. Apple has added a notification center, a Control center as well as Air Drop, a feature that allows you to conveniently share photos and files using wireless connection. You can also expect a male voice for Siri and free Apple apps like iPhoto and iMovie. We will be looking at the key features of iOS7 in more detail soon so stay tuned to The AppJuice for updates.

Given the fact that the iPhone update will bring many new features, many users are positively itching to try it on their phones quickly. If you are looking forward to updating, here are the steps you should follow for a smoother transition to iOS7. Make sure you get done with these tasks right away while there is still some time to the launch.

Make Sure your Phone is Compatible:

The Update that rolls out today will be available to most recent versions of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch; it isn’t compatible with all Apple devices. Make sure yours is compatible. IPhone 4, 4s,5 and the latest 5s and 5c support iOS7 as well as iPad2, 3, 4 and iPad mini. If you own a fifth generation iPod, you can update it to get the latest iOS7.

Get rid of extra applications:

If you have been meaning to get rid of all the extra applications on your phone now would be an excellent time to do so. Delete unwanted apps and update to the latest versions so that there are no glitches when you are using iOS7.

Backup:

Just to be on the safe side, make sure you backup all your important data including photos. You can save them to the iCloud or copy them to your computer. Some applications allow you to get your data by email and you can use that option so that in case something goes amiss, you have all your personal files secure.

Once you have done that, you are good to go. If you don’t like glitches, it may be a good idea to wait for a week to see how the transition goes for most users before your upgrade device but if you are enthusiastic about technology, we know that’s a very hard thing to do. Have fun updating!
