iQOO has confirmed the launch date for its upcoming iQOO 16 smartphone in China. The company will officially introduce the phone on September 29. The iQOO 16 will also go on sale in China on the same day. Pre-orders are already open through iQOO’s official online store in the country.
The company shared the launch details in a post on Weibo. It also revealed three color options for the new smartphone ahead of its launch. The iQOO 16 will be available in Chasing Light, Legend, and Race Track. The Legend version features a silver gray finish, while Race Track comes in purple.
iQOO has already confirmed one major detail about the phone. The iQOO 16 will use Samsung’s new M16 display panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The company previously showed the redesigned rear camera module of the smartphone. However, other hardware details have not been officially confirmed yet.
Recent leaks suggest that the iQOO 16 could feature an 8,400mAh battery. The phone is also expected to use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset. Meanwhile, iQOO is expected to introduce another device at the same event. The company could launch the Pad Ultra alongside the iQOO 16 on September 29.
More specifications are likely to be revealed as the launch date approaches. For now, iQOO has confirmed the display, launch date, and three color options.
