iQOO’s upcoming 16T could arrive with a major camera upgrade, according to a new leak. The smartphone is now tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera.
According to the source’s claims, the iQOO 16T will use a 200MP sensor for its main camera. However, the phone reportedly will not include a periscope telephoto camera. The same leak also points to a new cooling setup for the iQOO 16T. The system is said to combine liquid cooling with air cooling to help manage heat during demanding tasks.
The chipset remains less certain for now. Last month, another source said iQOO was testing the phone with Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. However, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 was also reportedly being considered for the device. This suggests iQOO has not yet finalized the chipset for the 16T.
The iQOO 15T was unveiled in May, so the 16T is unlikely to launch this year. Instead, iQOO is expected to introduce the iQOO 16 next month.
The iQOO 16 is rumored to use Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC. More details about the 16T should surface as iQOO gets closer to its launch.
