The Federal Directorate of Education announced Eid ul-Adha and summer holidays for Islamabad institutions, confirming closures from 25 May until 31 July 2026.
An official notification issued on 20 May stated classes will resume on 3 August 2026, applying to Islamabad Model Schools and Colleges across urban and rural areas.

Heads of institutions and administrative staff will continue working from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, managing academic and administrative responsibilities during the vacation period.
Institutions must ensure student participation in a two‑week Summer Fiesta beginning 15 June, with detailed instructions to be shared following Eid ul-Adha holidays.
Coaching classes for Grades IX and X will be arranged during June and July, conducted either in person or through the Digital Hub Connected Classroom.
Live sessions are scheduled for June, while recorded lessons will be available in July, ensuring syllabus completion within the designated academic timeframe.
Teacher training nominations must be submitted by 22 May, with selected faculty required to attend sessions as directed by the Federal Directorate of Education.
Undergraduate students enrolled in BS and ADP programs will continue classes according to the academic calendar, unaffected by the summer vacation schedule announced for other institutions.
Institutions have been instructed to complete repair and maintenance work, alongside stock checking, ensuring facilities remain prepared for reopening after the conclusion of summer holidays.
