Prices of the Jaecoo J5 and J7 hybrid SUVs have increased in Pakistan following the government’s decision to raise the sales tax rate on hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to 25% from July 1, 2026.
The revised tax structure has pushed up the invoice values of the locally assembled Jaecoo models, increasing the cost for buyers.
The Jaecoo J5 is powered by a 1.5-liter hybrid system, while the J7 is offered as a plug-in hybrid SUV. The latest pricing reflects the impact of the revised taxation regime.
New Jaecoo J5 and J7 Prices
According to the revised pricing details, the new rates for filer buyers are:

The Jaecoo J7 Premium carries an ex-factory price of Rs. 10.499 million, with freight and transit insurance charged separately.
Customers with existing bookings have three options under the revised pricing arrangement.
Those opting for immediate invoicing can pay the balance according to the revised prices and have their invoices processed within two working days, subject to vehicle availability.
Customers can also choose delivery on affidavit. Under this option, the revised prices will apply if the 25% GST rate is confirmed. If the final official SRO provides different tax treatment, the price will be adjusted according to the applicable notification at the time of invoicing.
Buyers can alternatively wait for the official SRO before making payment. Once the final pricing is confirmed, customers can pay the applicable amount and receive their Delivery Order.
The Federal Board of Revenue’s records show several tax and customs-related SROs issued during July and August 2026, reflecting ongoing changes in Pakistan’s automotive taxation framework.
The latest price increase comes as demand for electrified SUVs continues to grow in Pakistan. Jaecoo’s local partner, NexGen Auto, is also preparing additional OMODA and JAECOO models for the local market.
